Description

Not quite in the mood for 'touristy' snapshots yet. We decided to poke around the industrial aspects of Balamer to see what comes our way. Being the cradle of 'Merkin railroading, there will probably be a few train-themed images showing up here. Besides, I like trains, and it's my camera. SO there! Quite a bit of horsepower waiting for the signal to proceed. Two CSX engines, one wearing no livery except primer (?), and a Santa Fe (BNSF if one reads the fine print) unit just standing by. MMmmmmmmm! Smell them diesels idling! Reminds me of BLUEBACK and co. Enjoy; thanks for viewing. All aboard!

Thanks folks. Forgot to mention the postwork included the gravel/ballast in the foreground. Did a light 3D filter over it and it blends Soooo well with that framework. (he he!) First time I spotted these guys I nearly freaked out. The color scheme of the lead engine is very much like the British Rail color scheme I got used to while I was living over there. You cannot miss that big yellow nose coming at you at any distance within sight.
