Description
I live on the beach in Florida and during Hurricane Frances my apartment took some heavy damage. Aside from the immediate issues, within a few days the walls were covered with mildew and mold and I had to cut all the carpet out and throw away most of my posessions and furniture including my bed. The Hurricane Jeannie hit hard just 2 weeks later.
This image was influenced (except for the beer bottles)by those weeks and the overwhelming helplesness I was feeling at that time.
My heart goes out to those who are now dealing with the after effects of the Tsunami. I know that this is the hardest time for them. The shock is wearing off and plunging into grief and despair and much needed relief is slow in coming.
Bryce 5, Poser 5, toilet from 3D Cafe, all other models are my own in Rhino 2. Most textures created in Photoshop 6 and Illustrator 9, Floor texture from a photo (unknown).

Aye, a very powerful image! Great render, the textures are awesome. You really convey a sense of desperation here, which is not easy in the stark world of 3D...

Wow, this is one of the most raw and depressing images I've seen in a long while. It really works. This is uncommonly excellent. vote I think you did a great job with the naked bulb, too. That one element is just marvelous.

Isn't it great that art provides an avenue for heartfelt expression? You've profoundly done so here. Well wishes to you as you rebuild.

We were lucky in the hurricanes and didn't get much damage, but my heart went out to those that did. I can imagine the torment of finding your whole place ruined. This picture does an incredible job of portraying that emotion. Well done.
