... Laacoon-like in the coils of sleep, I dream of herds of deer, wild horses, and bison grazing together. On the lake geese and ducks cover the surface, while wild turkeys strut along the shore. All is bathed in the golden sun of late afternoon, highlighted by the gloomy sky to the east...
Like the sapling bent under the weight of the encroaching vine, I walk through the day haunted, yet not burdened by these images
