Description

Handcrafted entirely in Ultra Fractal A collection of mandy zooms, julia zooms, and a few fractals that I never got around to posting, loving handcrafted into a fractal quilt. And just as in real life, the quilting of all the individual squares took quite a bit of time. I have an unfinished crazy quilt that I worked five winters on, but haven't been able to finish, so in between home, work, end of the year reports, and tax preparation, I fashioned a digital quilt, 237 layers, name and logo in PSP. Hopefully I can catch up some day on viewing and commenting, but time has been scarce lately. Thanks for stopping to have a look. :)Maria

Wonderful idea :) Really beautiful work ! I am really wondering why you had to have that many layers though .. did you not take every fractal image down to one layer before putting them into the quilt? But no matter how you did it I can sure tell it has been a big big job making this !! OM ! .. I just Love the hearts in the corners .. wonderful detail :) ! So cute with the mandelbrot in the middel :):) Fantastic Job !! :)

Oh Maria, this is beautiful. When my little girl was killed in a car accident I started a crazy quilt. That was 10 years ago, and it's still not finished. Whenever I start to miss her until it hurts, I take the quilt out and work on it. I don't think it will ever be finished, but that's. o.k. What you did here, brings tears of joy to my eyes.

Absolutely gorgeous! Have you considered making an actual (sewn) crazy quilt with your fractals? You could probably do it by silk-screening your favorite designs onto squares of cloth. Anyway, consider me VOTED!
