Description

Rene Magritte is a longtime influence and is often mentioned in comments about my artwork (which I take as a good thing). This one just seemed to blossom into a direct tribute. There are eleven real P4 Dorks and 337 2D images of Dork. I first had 348 hat meshes, but talk about slowing a computer down... Made them out of primitives and it did much better. World Top mode used with an image of Magritte's 1954 painting, "The Schoolmaster" *** By the way, this optical effect is similar to how your television and printer works. Each tiny dot(or hat) on the screen has a color and when combined with thousands, all the dots form a picture. There, you learned something today.

Great concept and realization. This kind of influence is also present in the work of a great designer and illustrator Mirko Ilic. You should take a look at his work, if you haven't already.

Bloody hell. And I mean that in a good way. Let me be the first to say "I take my hat off to you." Well, someone had to. :)

This one turned out great! I know what you mean about using a multitute of lattices...especially when you use "massive" resolution!

... and to think, I learned it here at FrogDot U! I was just thinking this reminded me of Mirko Ilic, and then I saw Illuminati's comment.

Great concept, beautifully executed. I'm a big fan of Magritte's work also & I suspect he would have appreciated this digital homage...
