Often in these times of troubled human affairs
We are subjected to circumstance of horror and despair
We are called to witness desolation, reminding us to see
How hateful and destructive our "human" race can be.
A race which will kill, thinking they will gain
A race which tortures millions with grief, fear, and pain
A race which defies nature, using lives to pay the cost
Often in these times of suffering
We wonder where our race was lost
