Description

Ok before anyone says it, i know the matrix is a bit of an overused topic, and i promise this is the only matrix related thing i`ll ever subject you to. Its essentially a recreation of the subway set from the first film, the general layout is pretty accurate althouh i added a few of my own bits and bobs to make the place more interesting. Most of the textures were created from scratch except a couple of the more distinctive bits of graffiti which were dug out of a texture pack. Not having any decent shots of concrete surfaces the pillars, walls and floor are an odd mix of scanned wet paper, apple skins and just about anything else i thought i could use combined as a layered texture (i think it worked out well concidering). - The bullets in the first shot were just a bit of fun is i still love that effect. Rendered in maya software with a ton of area lights and a couple of spots. Thanks for looking, comments welcome...

i'm stunned ..... this is really amazing. by far one of the best pieces of CG i've seen so far, commercial or not. i almost feel as if i'm walking through it. "excellent" just doesn't cut it. this is a step or two above that

Excellent work ! 10 stars out of ten ;-) The only thing i don't like so much is the paper lying on the floor - somehow it does not look as much realistic as the rest of the scene...
