Description

There is not a day go by where I do not come accross those who shun others, just because they are different. We are all different in one way or another. That is not a bad thing, it's a good thing. People find themself trying so hard now to show others what they think they want to see. Their true self gets lost in a far away place where they feel they can be themselves, just being different with others that are different. Predjudism goes beyond race & colour. It has no bounds. From you are black or white to you are off because of how you dress or talk or are quiet & withdrawn. Quiet & withdrawn, why? Maybe because we are afraid of being judged by others. In other words the ugly head of predudism. It spreads like a cancer. It even turns on itself. Meaning, they find him/her different and push him/her away. Maybe I better to or they will do the same to me and push me away. We see predjudism and out of fear of being predudised against we show a front of predudism. Even though we show this predudism because we are afraid of it happening to us it still hurts others. Life would be better if real life were the dream & the dream were real life. The road of life can be a lonely one for alot of people. The characters represent our differences and how these differences are embrassed not shunned at. The angel guy represents HOPE. WE cannot give up or give in to predjudism. The small image at the bottom right represents humanity and how we have distanced ourselves and others from our true self. We have hidden it away in a very far off place. "Grant me the serenity to accept the PEOPLE I cannot change, the courage to change the ONE I can, and the wisdom to know it's ME." Sometimes being different is a blessing. I always remembered a line from Monty Python's "Life of Brian"... "Yes we are all different"...and a voice from the back "I'm not". Enjoy our differences, don't belittle them. Good work on your image!

Totally awesome image Rick...and I agree with you...accepting people and their differences is something I hope continues to grow in society... It happens one heart at at time and with people like you speaking up about it, I believe change will happen... I really like the way you've added the characters...
