Description

I think this is the final proof that I'm officially losing it. I spent 6 months learning to paint hair and postwork images and now I'm doing everything I can to avoid it. This time I was going for a slightly more realistic look. I used a texture from the victorias and turned down the specular lighting on her skin slightly. I also added some specular lighting to her hair. The only postwork was fixing a few problems with the hair and her arms. Thanks for looking. Never any harm in trying out new ideas rather than sticking with what becomes easy! This gorgeous lady shows you're doing something right (I just wish I knew what it was lol)! She has such beautiful eyes and her hair looks amazing with your added effects! Excellent!!!

Well, I think it looks fantastic!!! I think there is an art to postwork, and an art to doing beautiful images without postwork!!! I could never make an images look this good without postwork!! EXCELLENT work!!!

Geeez dude this is friggen gorgious, the skin and hair is dead on and them eyes i do believe are the prettiest I have seen so far and I seen some that were outstanding. I just jump around whatever mood hits is what decides if I paint hair or not, so just go with the flow my man!!

Nice portrait and lighting. Lovely face and expression. Very good skin texture. Her eyes and lips are very pretty. The hair, although is not postworked is very well posed and looks very real.

Hey, if it comes out of the render engine like this, who needs postwork! There's quite a difference between fiximg up a few render problems and completely painting over a base image. I love this style. Tweaking poses, tweaking lights and materials, until the render itself looks good, that's the way I do it too. Both skin and hair look fantastic, and those eyes are downright mesmerizing. Excellent work! v

Ya know I think we all go through the "No more postwork" feeling. I have hair and wings to do for one zoku01 & I are working on and I haven't done a thing yet. Sigh Besides all that she's such a darling little character. Can be cute and innocent and a bit on the naughty side! She can't fool me! Fantastic work on her!!
