I'm just a German hobby artist, hoping to be good enough someday to work on a professional level. :)BIOOne day I saw this computer magazine in a shop, and it was about computer graphics. It had a CD with some cheap freeware 3D software and some tutorials inside. Since I liked movies with cool special effects, I thought I could look into it. That's how it started.
The first program I worked with was called POV-Ray. A freeware 3D Renderer that worked with text based commands, rather than a graphical user interface. Luckily, the CD contained some graphical programs that could save in POV-Ray's file format, and so I made the famous "chrome sphere on checkerboard suface" picture every 3D Newby does. XD
Since then I worked a lot on my skills, and started using different software. While POV-Ray has a nice renderer, I never could get used to the fact that I had to program my scenes. I'm working now with 3D Studio.

Excellent scene. The ship is done very well. Not sure why no one else has left feed back, this is really good.

A bigger pic would be nice but this is a great design witha mix of organic and non organic elements.

I love this, its beautiful. The only small suggestion I would give is changing the position of the ship. The models are so beautiful and the picture is so well made, but there seems to be something off with the compostion.
