Description

Instruments aboard the Cassini spacecraft have sent back the most detailed images ever captured of the surface of Saturn's giant moon, Titan. They've also presented scientists with a major mystery. There's a huge cloud formation over the moon's south pole, spanning 620 miles (1,000 kilometers) at its widest. That's no surprise; scientists expected it to be there. But they also expected it to be made of methane, and it isn't! Titan is extremely cold (-290 degrees) That

I agree with Calanthe. What you might want to do is hit space.com as well as NASA and JPL's site to see if you can get some ideas from the pictures sent from Huygens.

awesome view from Titan, Terry! Yeah, I think they surmised that Titan has like oceans of natural gas and would burn up except that there is no oxygen in the atmosphere. Heady stuff - just wish they'd send more probes like Cassini out. Better yet, manned ones. Nah, too busy spending $$ to kill each other off. Shame...
