Description

Minstral Ship by Black Rain in the free section here at Renderosity. For any of you who haven't grabbed a copy yet, I give this one 2 Big Thumbs Up. The materials uses are part of my new 54 new Materials, not the ones that are included, though those ones included are nice too. They are also my materials...lol Although Black Rains readme states it is best used at a distance as you can can see here it does do well in a close up. The background is by me and is added to the reflection value of the Material node as a 2d colour to the reflection with the balck value changed to 70%. The end effect is quite nice as the ship picks up the colour of the background. Rendered in Poser 5 with no postwork.

yes! I love the stars and the worm-hole thing that the ship is coming out of. cool materials as well... you are quite the architect mike, I like this theme a lot, great job man, keep up the good work!

First rate sci-fi imagery, reminds me of the Nautalus from the 60's Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea version, very Jules Verne looking. Super work on the textures for Black Rain's space vessel!
