Description

Sort of a self portrait, really. Every phase of my life since high school has included scenes exactly like this one. Guitar, coffee, a smoke. Never really mattered if i was performing or playing for myself. So there's my first model. Of course, I'll be playing with the render and some postwork. Crits and comments are welcome. Thanks for looking.

Very good! Maybe the metal surface could be more reflective. Great work though :o)

Aye, the stool could be more reflective. The guitar model looks wonderful! And the smoke itself is nice, too...!

Great looking image. Agree with the reflections on the stool, but not necessary to make this great:-)

....very fine portrait - could be titled 'Life on the Road' -- I'm not sure the stool needs to be that much more reflective as it might compete with the main subject maatter - which are beautifully done ( by the way - don't know anything about LIGHTWAVE --- but the end result lokks very fine indeed. Speaking to guitars and cigarettes/joints -- I once saw Eric Clapton at the Fillmore West ( with Delaney & Bonney ) - he had a smoke on the end of neck -- in the middle of a long scorching solo -it fell off -- he ever so slowly bent over picked it up - took a long toke - held it in for a moment - and then slid beautifully back into his solo - the audience went wild and I thought, at the time, - that it was the coolest thing I had ever seen .
