Description

Another planet picture. Added some alien plants and animals to this one. If someone wants a product idea, it would be great if someone created some small alien background creatures like those sprinked through the Star War movies. Not cartoon looking, but as if they could exist. Just an idea. Comments are alway welcome. Enjoy. Bob Alien plants - RDNA Wryen (modified) - Daz3D Vue5 Photoshop

Always enjoy your renders, Bob. Especially, like the colors in this one. If you are striving for realism, you might want to make the large "moon" a gaseous giant like Jupiter. Don't think that life higher than microscopic would exist on land with such a large moon so close, although possibly sea life might evolve. Of course, they could be twin worlds locked in the same rotation period, but tides would be pretty high and might make the transformation of sea lifeforms to land forms extremely unlikely. On the other hand, this is a very wonderful fantasy world and who the hell cares! :) Just a thought. Nice going!

Very nice. I agree with kjer 99 on the science aspects. Sci-Fi is more apt to pass the "willing suspension of disbelief" if scenes are more probable. Else it is really fantasy - which is perfectly fine too. Yes, the colors are outstanding! I had a bit of trouble seeing the foreground plants. Perhaps the immediate foreground could have higher contrast, so the silloueted plants are blacker against the background? Excellent image!

Thanks for the info. Actually this is the moon of the planet in the background. It rotates very slowly as it orbits the planet, so tides are high, but happen very slowly. Actually, this is more of a fantasy, art based piece. Let's face it with the sun so close, everyting would be fried anyway. It's just a visual picture to enjoy. - Bob
