Looks like some place here in Colorado just at dusk or something.

Hello Gorillaman, I know I seem to have come out to nowhere. I actually posted a lot during the first part of 2004 and have been largely absent since last summer. I appreciate your posting a lot and thus keeping the lifeblood circulating in this gallery. I like the surface texture in the foreground as well as the atmosphere. May I suggest finding camera angles (in this and other images of yours) that place some object or surface of interest a little more closely to the camera? It helps to give a feeling of depth and also creates a "focus" on which the picture can surround. Additionally, since you love to use a lot of haze, it will create a nice contrast between forground and background. You're doing a lot of good posting and I'd love to see you create not just the wonderful skies and mountains as you do, but also a more distinct foreground and background. Tino Hammid

Hey Tino, Thanks for the props and the constructive comments. I hear what you're saying. But my goal is to (usually) create images that are as close to photographs as possible. In my very limited experience with textures in AMV, I'm never satisfied with close ups because they almost always look computer generated because of texture. I hate that. I often try to use shadows, dim light, haze and distance to hide that fact that the image is fake. I need to learn more about textures. Thanks for the motivation. :)
