Description

Tired... was cleaning today so I am posting a poem I wrote just under a year ago...

and the pic is one I took and is unaltered

the snow remains
Strange lines in my palms emptiness in my soul The visage I behold is anonymous no light in the darkness no voice to shatter silence Who is this shadow? a lone leaf clings to a branch long past dead the snow remains

Interesting choice of words: "WHO" is this shadow? It was amazing to me: looking at the picture I had the image of a very old hand - a palm; then I read the first line! Excellent expression (as always!)

The snow is little comfort, cold and heavy, the bringer of darkness and numbness. The dead leaf holding on to the sleeping branch will eventually fall, pushed out by the new leaf that will come.

I see it as the cold comfort of a lesson learned.... Wonderful words babes.
