Description

The beautiful home of the Elrond Elves of Tolkiens Middle Earth. I spent the last 2 weeks (and some nights) to form the fantastic buildings of this enchanting place. 2 days of this time I needed to get the right feeling for the ornaments and the proportions of the houses. All parts, the oraments inluded, are modelled as 3d objects. thx for looking.....

First of all - thank you very much for your nice comments! Yes 9mm4bax, it is correct, Rivendell lies in a narrow valley. But with Vue generated mountains very often look as well as gigantic cow droppings. Especially, if these mountains should be very high, the results mostly look not very good. Therefore, I have "pushed" this mountains a little bit into the background. I use 3 programs for modeling: Rhino3d for Nurbs modelling, UVMapperpro and 3dsMax3 to join the single parts into one mesh. If someone of you wants to know more about that, there is an interview with me on www.planit3d.com. (Helmut)

This is outstanding!!! And one of the best representations I have seen. It was so beautiful in the movie, and you have captured that beauty here.
