UF3.04; jos.ucl>PSP7 construction>photo google (couldn't find a credit) Although his birthday was saturday, today is the day we celebrate the life of Dr. Martin Luther King. On January 16,1986, I was honored to be invited to the dedication ceremony of the incredible bust of Dr. King in the U.S. Capitol Building. It was created by artist John Wilson. It was a small event hosted by his wife, Coretta and his sister Christine. Memorable and moving in many ways. Ray Charles was there and I was escorted to stand right behind him where he was seated for the service. Well he sang his heart out and the sound of his voice echoing "Georgia" throughout the rotunda was haunting... when he was presented to sing I was moved to place my hand on his shoulder and he shook it turned to me and smiled nodding his head. I met and talked with Coretta and Christine for a few moments at the reception and it really dawned on me that these were the people that helped to change history forever. I will never forget the strength and courage in their eyes...A truly inspiring evening. "Our lives begin to end the
