Description

April 1943:Dawn somewhere in Lincolnshire the grond crew start work on "their aircraft", readying it for a night over occupied Europe. Will their aircraft still be around when tomorrows dawn comes? Too many weren't! Figures are basic poser4 casual male with some retexturing. The Halifax is from Taschent. The idea is from a picture I have hanging in my living room titled "Off Duty Lancaster". I just wanted to see if I could recreate it in Vue and was quite pleased with the result. Thanks for looking.

Nicely atmospheric, and a poignant reminder of the 75,000 men of Bomber Command who never returned ... ... ... Nice also to see the (relatively) unusual Mk III Halifax, which had Hercules radials instead of the more normal Merlins. OK, my anorak's showing, time to go :-)

Well done! Like the trees and distant bomber too. I hear those bombers ran on fish 'n chips?

Excellent pic!! Lots of interesting circles. The four in the right corner are kind of distracting.
