Description

The Fire Elf is Daz3D's Aiko 3 figure, wearing some components of their Crystal Mage set. Hair originally for MayaDoll. Mostly Poser 5 materials rather than texturemaps, particularly the Magic Skins set from the Marketplace. The flames are from stock photograms given away with one of the British computer art magazines, pushed through a math shader node to get both texture and transmap -- ambient rather than diffuse colour. I like the flames. The fires in front in particular are quite convincing with their translucent quality.

v clever stuff with the flames - you can practically feel the heat. The lighting compliments it v nicely as well - has a nice shimmering effect on her oufit. Excellent work all round.
