Description

Xenodream 1.5, no pp, PS6 for frame Thank you so much for viewing and all of your comments! Dirk Since I will be busy with this series for some time to come, here's what I'm after. I'm trying to integrate the Y axis in my spirals, which is pretty straight forward, but it clutters up the centre of the spiral, so I'm looking for ways to avoid that. I'm fine-tuning a gradient and lighting combination. I like this combo I use very much but it's not realy there yet. So expect only slight variations in colour and lighting. I only use one extra layer in XD, one which I developed and gives me a nice outline. Here I want to achieve outlines, but not in a way that the image looks too graphic, retains enough of the movement and organic feel. Last but not least, I want to avoid as much as possible "pierced" objects. Every form must be flowing under, over or through objects (if they are hollow), and that my friends, is not as easy as it sounds, with all the wild and often unpredictable flows and turns that these metamorphs take... LOL

Well, what I understood from all that is that XD is too complicated for me. :D I like those ribbons at the top.

AIAIA this sculpture is an excellent defender. No one can make his way through these spikes. I don't see to many piercings, you succeeded:-)

I cannot wait to get this program! This is an amazing creation, full of cartoon fun and complex realism. The shapes are fantastic, as if they were falling...so much like Esher's piece of himself and his wife...THIS ROCKS! (=

The best in your awesome spiral series..IMO. Worthy goal; I'll be interested in seeing each result. I've been working in XD since 2001..and you have a better understanding than I ever will. Fantastic image, Dirk! Love the curled twirls and shavings..the lovely metallic color and the shadowplay.

fuzzy metal cluster. the solitude standing helixes are reminding me of the garbadge, a lathe pruduces, but the rings makes it look very noble. outstanding xd!

Well I understand what you mean, but I'm not about to try to duplicate your works. Trying to keep from piercing anything may be the hardest part. :-) BTW, this is beautiful, Dirk.
