Description
Felt like redoing an old image of mine. And just as the rendering was closing 95% an idea came in my head: adding people. So I did. Not sure if I matched the homeless guy properly (googled him). Everything except the bike is modelled by me, the bubblegum machine was the first model I ever made and gave out freely in Wings3D. Textures are from all over the place. Don't know how you could interpret this picture, it has a number of religious messages, but instead of going into a long drawn-out -and contentious- argument about it, I'd rather let you all make up your own minds over the work's message. Cheers, and leave a comment.

Nice re-make. The enviroment itself says I don't want to be there. Powerful scene Drac.

All the elements work very well. It's a dark (emotionally) picture. Not really what I was expecting from you. Love that wall texture and lighting. Nice one Drac.

Awesome work as always. Quick question, How did you get that great neon effect? I have tried doing neon before and can get the glow around the sign to look fairly well with some low intesity radials, but the tubes themselves never really turn out. Mark

Excellent use of lighting. The same question, how did you do the neon?

OMG, that reminds me so much of an alley in Melbourne, Australia. Excellent work drac, first time i have got cold chills from looking at an image

Nice work. It seems like a dark alley place more of architecture and night life or maybe a person's past. This would show more of how hard times can be and I sure would NOT want to be there. It could bring back someone's past to remind of how hard times could be, or could send a message to those that do bad things. Either way, its a powerful image that has more of the dark side then good, but that message can also be translated to show how a person can be if he/she would do bad, so either way it can have/show positive or negative, depends on how U look at it. To me it shows a dark place that someone's past could have lived in, a crying moment, perhaps. Just my opinion.

it's really postwork. i just rendered the text by itself against a black background (no lighting, no sunlight, no nothing) in the same spot it was in the scene (i selected everything else and deleted it). then in photoshop i made a new layer over the original render (blending options: screen instead of normal), and gaussian blurred it. you can repeat the technique as many times as you like by either copying and pasting the layer or just by controlling the amount of blur.

Phantastic scene with excellent textures and lightning, a picture worth to look at it and think about it.
