Description

A 4X5 view camera shot from way back in my S.F. Art Institute student days. Publishing this now because i've always loved it, but no one else seems to like it - so i'm curious what will happen with the larger Renderosity audience :o) Thanks for looking - hope you are also seeing...

Scale is everything. This could almost have been taken by the Mars Orbiting Camera, if the ground had dried out a bit. Excellent capture!

Beautiful signs of time! I love these traces! The shadow part is a bit disturbing for me. Just my 2 cents ;~)

Thanks all! Yes, WandM, the shadow disturbed me too - which is a big part of the reason i made the image :o) This kind of dreamy Zen photography is about connecting something outside to something inside, just like other fine art photography. But in this case, without the usual frames of reference.

Well, this one is my favorite in your gallery. I love the feel of it. The patterns and textures. Feels peaceful. I don't know what that is a shadow of but it seems to compliment it's surroundings nicely.

Just cruising your gallery and I don't know why anyone would not like this image!! Your grey scales are right on the mark!!

I think it's a great study on erosion, almost looks like the surface of an alien planet. Not sure the shadow works, it changes the sense of scale, minus the shadow it could be an 800ft view of some valley, with the shadow it just looks like a 6ft view. Otherwise a great image!
