Description
I apparently have a fetish for tactile, brown, geometric shapes. I should get that checked...
Anyway, once I was finished with this piece, it struck me as something you might find in a dentist's office. Anyone else feel that way?
For those of you who are list members, I have posted the UPR as well. Since I've been blabbing on and on recently about my love affair with S.F.B.M. II, I thought I would show a bit of what is possible with that one formula. EVERYTHING in this image, except the shape of the frame, was done using multiple layers of S.F.B.M. II, with no mappings or any other bells-&-whistles.
Thank you kindly for getting your teeth cleaned, that you too may see this piece. And huge thanks to the great response I had from everyone on "Magma Creeper Vine". It was sitting around in a less attractive state for 6-8 months, and I just dug it up the other night.

I do see some tartar and yellowing (age, no doubt). The play of cool geometric form, more-exciting-than-earthy color and oh-so-excellent texture is brilliant.

Wow, only SFBM?? I noticed you sent the upr to the UF list, so I'm definitely going to see how you made this terrific work!! Excellent coloring, great design! Since I move around a lot (15 times in the past 13 years..) and therefor have had several dentists I can call myself a professional dentist-room-explorer ;-) and yes, this would be a perfect one to stare at while he is busy hurting you with his aweful tools!

this looks like layer upon layer of homemade paper, dipped in colours and pasted into bas relief - excellent concept
