Rumours
I know I said I wouldn't post again (until I caught up on commenting) but this is a message that needs to be sent. Why is it that people need to bring others down to feel good about themselves, what gives them the right to criticise and belittle with out a thought to the consequences of what they say. Too many have left here because of them. If you have a beef about the content of the image take it private if it is a thought on how the image can be improved say it tactfully. I you plain just don't like it move on to the next one. If you think people are getting into the hot 20 on their friends votes stop whining and go and vote for ones you think should be there. These images, I believe, get there on merit as well and deserve to be there. Ok am getting off track a bit lol but these things seem to happen far too often and this is my soapbox time. We are here for the art and friendship if you don't like it go find another sandpit to play in

Excellent image .. everyones art is special to them because it is their creation ..if it is not to your taste, then move on ..it is not doing you any harm!!!!

First of all: a magnificent image, full of emotion. The pose and expression are fantastic, and you've lit her brilliantly. Second: I agree with you. There's a lot of difference between honest and polite criticism intended to help the artist improve his/her skills, and bashing. Personally I enjoy the first kind, it means someone actually took the time to really LOOK at the image. And it means that that someone has read the subtitle of the comment box. Not that I could give any helpful comments for improving this image, it's perfect!

I am so glad you have a soap box. I think we all have one,it's just that we all to often don't climb up there and let loose. I don't understand all this bashing that goes on,and I totally agree we have lost way to many so far from this visousness,and it would be even more tragic to lose more. You have once again shown emotion perfectly in this image. And, a most excellent tirade to go with it!!!!!!

Well, I'm not an artist or an art critic, and I look for the good things in people's images, and I always find something. I mean, who gives a rat's ass about what I think, anyway?!?!?!? LOL! I love the pose and expression in this one-I've seen that "Not tonight, I've got a headache" look before, though!! LOL!! EXCELLENT work, Chris!!!

First, wonderful image. V Second, I'd prefer to see the hot/top 20 go bye bye - in every category here. I also wish that IM's would go 'bye bye' also. Make all comments made public and posted in posts for all to see. Too much 'hiding', imho. I'd also like to be able to dis-able the 'vote' button for uploads. Art is so subjective - As is music, food, beauty, etc. There is beauty in all types of art, from beginner to professional. Same for the 'writers' gallery. Each writer brings a 'dish' to the 'table'. It all makes for a WELL BALANCED meal. It's time to appreciate every human's wonders, not destroy one another. PEACE.

Really beautiful work Chris. Such attention to detail makes her look very lovely indeed. I agree with so many people who have commented, but first and foremost I comment if I particularly like a piece. I realise how pointless, holding a grudge is now and you can inadvertantly lose friends as a result. Well done in every respect Chris. Steve :o)

I absolutely agree! Those people complaining about who gets or doesn't get to the Top20 are definetely jelous and dying to be there... Nobody is less or more than anyone by making it into the Top20... we are all even and shouldn't care about it! Awesome pose!! very emotional and FANTASTIC words Chris! HugZ!
