What a fantastic shot, I have never seen anything like this before, what are they? A thought provoking shot if I ever saw one, lots of questions floating round my head, I do not expect answers, but why has this image not got many comments? Maybe if you reposted this in Insects it might get more, it is such an unusual bug, maybe somebody would come up with its name. The markings are superb and the title fits like a glove. A very interesting capture, Excellent work. Bravo!!!!!!

These are fantastic! I love looking back in your gallery. I have seen so much, but I had to comment on the firebugs. I discovered these in Prague and they mean as much to me as Prague and Russia mean as well. Okay, I have not yet visited Russia, but at least I know that firebugs live there. Is that what they're called in Russian? Excellent details! I never really noticed their pitted outer shells. (And a warning about firebugs: don't step on these while wearing white socks...they leave permanent stains.) This is perfect.
