BIOBorn 1973 and living in Germany, I never did anything creative before in my life until I started working with Bryce and PaintShopPro in February 2002. With the power of these digital tools I'm now able to explore and express myself in a way I never dreamt of.
The help and feedback from the Renderosity commune enabled me to develop my skills in the last months. Using many different styles and techniques to create my works, there is no special style I prefer, but architectual works are what I like the most today. And of course, Woodies are important for me - can't get them out of my head. ;-)
Since July '02 I've taken my first modelling steps. I'm glad that I am able to give some freebie models back to the community which helped me so very much.
I'm looking forward to a great and creative time at Renderosity.
Take Care,
Der Jimi

The problem is that every image can be upload at that site. At www.digitalart.org for example only images that got the approval of the site's managers will be upload. every artist receive after 4 days an answer if his work was added or not.

I really like the fact that everybody can upload his works here. I don't want it to be censored. But the Hot20 should be a place for the best works of a gallery.

OMG V What an amazing example of a remarkably perfectly composed almost balanced surrealism masterpiece! And the lighting is to die for! .....Thank you Jimi...very well done.

breathtaking realism!!!

This really is crap. I'm not surprised it's in the top 20. I wait for the day when it's one vote per IP address.
Yoro
nice idea but using standard sky and water, standard terrains and standard textures is not enough for me, neither for an excellent nor for a vote. It takes 5 minutes to put these things together and this is no relationship, if you compare it to some other work here. But congrats to a successful kidding, from this point of view the pic is absolutely excellent ;-)

I agree! but you don
t get my vote that would make me the same as the ones you are talking about! I couldn
t care less about votes! Remove the top 20 or at least give a choice to disable votes.as It semes the top 20 is more trouble than it should have to be!!!-Stormi-
is this a joke

Yes, people. It's called SARCASM. Too bad we don't have "sarcalics" in text... It would make it easier... On a compositional note, do you think you could render it bigger? I can't see all of the details...

Yannik, we all know that. That's the message, and that such works doesn't belong in the Hot20.

Hahaha. I just happened to check the Bryce Hot 20 (haven't been around in a while) and I saw this. At first I thought it must be some tribute to Bryce 2...but then I came here and saw this. I think this is a great discussion (love the sarcasm) and am impressed you were able to "suggest" your way onto the Hot 20. It doesn't belong there, but there is stands...quite a conomdrum. I do think that the only thing that didn't keep it from being the #1 Hot 20 is the fact you didn't make it a shiney sphere....and that the mountains are not black and white checkerboard. ;o) BTW, I'm giving it an excellent not for the render itself, but for the discussion it has provoked.
