Description
This shot has been taken in August 2004, in the parrt of the French Alps called "Vercors", above Saint-Julien-en-Vercors.
The Vercors mountains are characterized by cliffs overhanging the valleys. Here is the view you have from the top of one of these cliffs.

Lovely view of the valley, Chantal! You seem to have had a very adavantageous position to shoot this picture. The vertical wall of rocky cliffs on the opposite side look like a fortress. This is a marvellous picture, as all your pictures are!

Superbe vue de cet endroit que j'aime particuliement. Je pense y dager un jour... je connais assez bien la rion du Lac de Serre Ponn... la vue est imprenable et cela c'est cette superbe photo qui nous la montre... encore bravo! et un Ranking Excellent... et je vote car il fallait la faire celle-ci..

Tien, je ne lavais pas vue celle l! Moi aussi je suis passpar lmais je ne me suis pas approchautant du ravin. C'est vertigineux ce Vercors et c'est un coin des Alpes du sud que j'adore. Ton image est parfaite, je vais me me la mettre en fond d'ran. Tr bon cadrage = aucune surface inutile. Bravo. Levaleton
