Description
This is the 4th installment of my story - Morrigu's Chosen. I hope you enjoy it. Comments are appreciated as are tips for improvement. =)
The snap of a twig behind him made him whirl around. His legs almost collapsed beneath him as he felt the energy of the elementals rise up and then scatter towards the four corners. He staggered towards the edge of the circle, but did not cross its boundaries; his gaze searched the darkness and lit upon a slender woman.
She walked gracefully towards him and paused at the edge of the circle, taking in his nakedness. To Caradoc's shock, she stepped across the boundary with barely a ripple to his energies.
...The chosen will be a girl child who will grow to be a woman of wise counsel. And the Amber Star will be reflected in the color of her eyes...
"My name is Morrigan," she said. Her amber gaze caressed his face and her hand lifted from her side as if to follow suit then abruptly dropped to her side. Her chin dipped towards her chest and her cheeks blossomed with color.
Caradoc stepped forward and reached out to lift her chin, wanting once more to be bathed in the warmth of her gaze. "I have been searching for you," he whispered.
She gasped at his touch and looked up into his eyes once more. Her lips parted and she breathed her words across his lips, "And I for you."

Beautiful double portrait! Morrigans expression is wonderfully done. That headdress/tattoo fits the theme very well. Great story too. Well done!
