Description

D'Jais is a locally known spot in Belmar (New Jersey Shore) directly across the street from beaches, with a spiffy ocean view. The people there are usually very happy, enjoyig a some munchies after a day at the beach. I thought of this warm summer evening, now that it is the heart of our January winter, and there's a blizzard going on. I stylized this photograph with Photoshop, to center attention on the colorful mood of the place.

This photo captures the Jersy Shore Night Life at it's best. Perhaps I am incorrect but all the people drinking at this bar appear to be men. Is this a Gay Bar? Anyway, the streaking effect is excellent. The color mixtures are super! If I understood art & what the heck art really was suppose to capture I would write more but I really have to go NOW!!

Thanks for kind comment. This section of the place is just a snack bar for any passers' by; there's also a bar and restaurant with dancing and entertainment. Gays would just blend in there; I think the men on the left were guards that had just gotten off work. The scene did remind me of an Edward Hopper painting.
