thank you everone for your heartfelt comments on this photo and poem. Michael was our first child and was stillborn. it was hard to understand the loss, but as we accepted it as a good thing, things changed in our lives. we were able to console others that had simlar losses and my family has been blessed ever since. we went on to have two more girls, now successful women on their own, and a son who will be graduating from high school with honors this June. i believe this is so because Michael has been our family's guardian angel.

tears...beautiful image, Gary...stunning. i have goosebumps reading your poem. i am sorry for your loss. i can't even begin to imagine. i've never had a child. but it must have been just horribly traumatic to lose him. you look upon losing him in a positive way...how you've been able to help others. that's healthy. i'm glad your other children are happy and successful. Michael...a blessed angel. very soulful and expressive work!

A very touching piece Gary. So glad that you & your wife were able to experience the love of more children despite the tragic loss of your son Michael. It is a marvelous thing that you have done to help others deal with their misfortunes. To loose the ones we love is one of lifes most difficult challenges.
