Description
Well, this is a very interesting shot where you can observe several things. This scene looks like a dune, the wind is blowing from the right to the left side. Normally, if there is less snow, it is completely blown off the right ridge and the snow is stacking to the left, lee, side. With a little imagination you can visualize, how much snow is laying down the hollow where the tracks are. At one point just in the middle the hollow is nearly filled up and straightened. This slope is not very steep, but this would be the status quo for the perfect avalanche! My poor cam is not able to catch the strong wind, blowing from the right. But we are close to the point of return. Olympus C860L. F 11.0, 1/500s, ISO 125. Kindest regards, Ikarius.
