Description
This collage is created out of old photoslides that have been converted to photographs.
The Mont Ventoux (vente- windy mountain) is without any doubt the most impressive mountain in the Vaucluse, which is a part of a region called Provence (La France).
Although the mountain is not very high (almost 2000 meters), the sights on top of the mountain are magnificent. This collage shows some of that. The wheather station on top of the mountain, the steep roads to the top and the descending roads off the mountain. The view from the top onto the direction of the Alps.
As the Mont Ventoux is the highest mountain in the area, it is almost continuously visible from the ground. Two photographs show what the mountain looks like from the ground.
The Mont Ventoux is not far from the city of Gordes. A few days ago I added a picture of this tiny city and more Provence is to come soon.
The Provence certainly is one of my favorite French regions to go to.

at first look i thought it was snow on the ground for some of them. i can see what you mean, the view is fantastic! the only place near me to get a view like this is 2 hours away and inaccessable during the winter as it's on top of a ski mountain (guess they don't want any free riders). excellent captures!!!!
