Description

I saw a movie this past week on ShowTime called The Samurios and loved it. I saw a scene in that movie and wanted to see if I can make a nice render of it. Well this is it. The Story Of Ramurai: The Samurai were the warrior class in feudal, pre-modern Japan. They started out as fighting men. But, they evolved into a ruling or noble class, if you will. They were the only group of people who were allowed to carry swords and other weapons. Many were effete administrators and oppressive landowners. They did no real work other than to wage war or serve as bodyguards and lived off the forced tributes of the peasants. Some Samurai were aristocrats, much like the lords and ladies of feudal Europe. Other Samurai were mere foot soldiers, known as Ashigari. Prior to 1600, there was constant warfare between the lords and overlords of feudal Japan. Fields and forests were strewn with dead soldiers from hundreds of battles. The Samurai lasted for a very long time, until about 1868 when the isolationist regime was finally forced to open up the country to Western powers. At that time many went from Swords to Guns, from FireBall Catapults to Canons. Many say that til today there are still Samurais that remains in the mountain tops and deep in the Hills of Japan to keep the old Japanese LifeStyle and Culture. One of the best Japanese TV Series was the Shogun, which I watched when I was a kid myself. If U ever get a chance to see the series, watch it. It shows many aspects of Japanese Culture and lifestyle that U never seen before. -------------------------------------------------- One of the latest and great movies about Japanese Samurai was "The Last Samurai" (2003) with Tom Cruise. I seen the older version of that movie a long time ago, and when I heard they are making a new one, I thought it was a joke and wasn't gonna watch it. Well, I WAS WRONG. When the movie came out on DVD, I rent it and watched. Well, I watched it so many times, that I decided to go and buy the movie. I love that movie. Among its great effects and actors, the movie shows more then just fighting. -------------------------------------------------- It shows RESPECT, HONOR and ONE AMAZING STORYLINE. -------------------------------------------------- Well, I hope you like the image. I used Poser Green Dojo from DAZ Samurai Outfit from DAZ M3 A little postwork in Photoshop for the lighting, brightness and ambience. Thank You for viewing and have a GREAT DAY.

Yep Last Samurai was great, unfortunately I heard that there are numerous historical errors in the film. Doesn't make it any less great, though. This pic is awesome, I do agree with the Storm Dragon (he's just full of useful advice, isn't he? lol), the rug looks a bit flat--maybe you could do something with it in postwork. There are lots of great tutorials on stuff like that here at Rend. Great pic though well done! =)
