When my Grandmother passed away several years ago, we found this picture of my great Granmother. The only person I had really known about was the old woman with the white hair in a bun. This picture was taken circa 1900. I was rather blown away by the wild, carefree person in this picture. I don't think a whole lot of women were running around in just the American flag and it answered a lot of questions as to where some of my personality traits come from. Watching the events of the last few days has saddened me and also made me so proud of who I am. I have been so proud of the American people for who we are and what we stand for. Each one of us carries around the spirits of our Ancestors and have their strength behind us. Im proud to be American. Im proud of my great Grandmother.
