Rendered in 3D Studio Max R3 with Brazil r/s in just over 7 hours with a dual pentium 3 800mhz and 768mb ram.

Very well done, nice image, v. accurate. But why such a long render time on a powerful machine like yours?? How many polys?? Wicked pic.

Thanks, it was 142,852 faces. It took so long to render because I used Brazil r/s with 2,4 anti-aliasing and Luma.

I think overall this guitar is too thick in all places, especially the neck. It looks more like a 6 string bass. Also, all of the strings are the same width. They should vary in width, from the bottom E string being the widest to the top E string being the thinnest. Nice render, but I don't see anything about it that couldn't have been done in 10 minutes using the Max default renderer.

Thanks for your advise, I don't know much about guitars though, just think they look cool. I will try to make it thinner.
