Description

A bit of work yet to go on this one, I have a lot of optional components planned out for this Space Commercial transport (Cranes, landing wings+gears,Other containers and a passenger module). I gave it a layered texture to make it more "used" looking, something I'm adopting to make my starships look more realistic than anime-looking.

A quite good start. I like the varying types of stripes. One trick I have used to add variation to the hull texture is to use the same hull texture image with differing U and V values for various parts of the ship. Having different U and V values in the Color and Bump Map portions of the Materials Editor in TrueSpace adds even more variation. Good luck with your project.

Try usign a specular map to vary the amount of shine. that is one thing to get a more realistic look to your model.

So much for the new AirBus in the news last week. I like the fuselage texture. You going to add something like that to the grey element in mid-ship?

Yeah, those are my temp-cargo... (Iridium Ingots actually) I didnt want to make a pic of it with an emply payload. I'm in deep debate over a set of side-thrusters with fins... I'm stuck until I get something that looks right. Thx j3d_cg!

I like the pet animal look, as it is more friendly than the prevalent "insect look". IMHO anyway :-)

Nicely done! Well-imagined spiritual descendant of the lake freighters I see offshore. Reminds me of Tucholka's post-2001-oid designs for FTL2448 as if done by Chris Foss.
