Description

Winter spreads her chilly air as the Fall leaves wither away closing the Scrap Book on another season. Dreams of winter gently enter your heart and mind. Fresh crisp air and billowing clouds loom above in the stillness of the day. With visions in our minds we can almost see the snow falling softly and the beauty that we will soon cover the fields and the meadows. We wait in wonder remembering winters past. Sleigh rides, long walks, children laughing and playing in a winter wonderland of God's wonderful creation. As the night begins to fall we begin to feel the nearness of a soon falling snow flake. Something once again begins to stir in your heart. Could it be? Yes! The first snow flake gently drifts from the sky and lands on your window pane. Then another and another, so perfectly formed and gloriously white, yet each one so different. Just as the snow begins to fall sleep falls upon you and snuggling into bed you once again dream of winters snow and the beauty your eyes will behold when morning dawns. Awakened before dawn you sleeply walk to see with wonder and delight the freshly fallen snow. A snowy white blanket now covers the trees, meadows, fields and even lays softly on the near by streams. Hush! Get dressed and hurry out to enjoy the splendor of it all in the quiet still hours of early morning. So crisp, so pure, almost not wanting to leave one tiny footprint you walk and and enjoy all of God's creation covered in this splendor of snow. Crisp yet powdery soft you once again experience the child like glee you felt when once upon a time years ago the first snow fell and winter dreams were so real. To the park just you and your thoughts of winter dreams. Thoughts of the first snowman that you made. A work of art it was. Speeding down snowy hills on the homemade wooden sled from grand dad. Laying in the fresh fallen snow making your first snow angels. Brothers chasing you throwing snowballs faster than yoour little legs could run. So many winter dreams and memories of seasons in the snow come and go so fast it seems, but when winter comes again and the first flakes begin to fall they return again thought long forgotten. By now the snow is frozen over and as night begins to fall again the full moon casts her reflection on the snowy landscapes and it almost seems to twinkle and glitter like little diamonds. Brighter than the daylight, once again it's time to venture out for a midnight stroll in winters snowy splendor. Dreams of winter will ever remain through the seasons of the year until the snow falls once again filling your heart with winter dreams past.
