This piece reminded me of a Chinese soup I like to order at a wonderful place in NYC called Sammi's Noodles. Clear broth, lemon scented, some egg and I think it's seaweed in there too. A delight to look at, as well as eat. It's snowing again today.

It actually looks delicious and your description of this soup is something I will have to seek down here in Atlanta! Sounds awesome! Probably use lemon grass for seasoning and that might be wood ear mushroom.

Magical soup, Chris! The colors seem authentically Chinese soup, but if I ever get a bowl that glows with beautiful colors on gracefully swirling forms - as here - I'll frame it rather than eat it!
