Description

"Force and Fraud are in war the two cardinal virtues." -Thomas Hobbes;Leviathon,1651 This is likely to be my second to last post here at Ren...and pending some issues,I'll let you all know whether my gallery here is coming down in my next post...I'll likely be posting a gallery at deviantart(where I'm "gmonkai")as well as a few other places I've found... creds:Just playing w/PS styles swatches(found a bunch of them on a CD that came with an old WOW PS6 book I'd had for my old system-fortunately they work in PS7)and the Daz Octo...background was made with those styles and some wierd paintbrushes I'd made from my Combustion targas...took the background styles on their own layer...dupchromed it to an ungeunt sepia...as styles have drop shadow and other FX in their layer setup...a few were lost in transferring to another PSD...I liked the look of the outcome-and thought it might make a cool texture for the DAZ octo...alot of chopping, duplicating and smudging to get it to fit the octo template...also used it very slightly as a displacement in P5 where I rendered it...In PS again took out some red and upped the blues and greens to move it from browns and beige to this more aquamarine...Thought he came out as nice eyecandy in this test render! Hopefully the naturalists out there will forgive me for choosing the umbrella of "surrealism" for this one..as it isn't "realism" I'm going for-and I feel it has plenty of play going in the texes and colors...Planning to have this octo texed like this coming up in some other renders in other contexts...That's all! Thanks for looking!!!

I had no idea you could do this with the DAZ octo. Now you've got me thinking.
