Spending a nice week on the sunny Mediterranean Sea. Swim calls and scuba diving. Peaceful days and nights. I really hated to head back, just looking for any excuse to delay the return. I was just about to turn into the wind and head back when I spotted some square blocks along the shore line. As I sailed nearer I could see that these had once been part of a fortification along the sea. There are no know citys here, now or then. There is a nice shallow harbor, room for maybe 2 ships of that time period. The cove was protected by high cliffs at it's back. Very colorful with strata. You can see where the cliffs have eroded over the years. Maybe this was a place of refuge for the Greeks or Romans trying to escape. A hide-out for pirates, or a possible staging area for war supplies. I would have to see. I turned into the cove... Vacation Extended...!! All VP
