Description

Im awaiting my internet connection so Im sending this through GPRS via my cell phone. All foreground objects are meshes, Clothild and Hair Dep. used extensively (lots of poly's). Fish texture is a projected illustrative image and the cats texture is photo based. HDRI + omni/spot + GI lighting using free probe from SACHFORM. Minor post work for the dreamy look. Sorry about the name, can't think of any better =P Thanks for viewing!

Exceptional as is most of your work. I see a slight problem with the fish-water-bowl. It almost looks like the refractive index is set to 0. Perhaps increasing the water or bowl RI might make a difference. But really a nice piece!!

Thanks, the glass refraction is set to 1.5 and the water to 1.33, followinf the suggestions from the 3DFluff DVD. But I agree that the refraction as a bit slight....dunno why?

Wow! A few months ago I tried to model a fish in a bowl and got completely tied up in technical knots trying to get the water/glass/bowl effect to look right. I ended up giving up and shifting the scene into a river instead. I am extremely impressed with what you have managed here. Excellent work. Oh, and by the way, it's mighty cute too

The refraction on the water and bowl is dead on right. Th efish is close to the edge.. little refraction of it will be noticied, however, the scene behind it is heavily refracted, as it should be. Very well done, indeed. My only criticsm would be that the cat does look a little bit "composited" into the image, but, really, that's a technical issue, and doesn't detract from the quality or message here. Very nicely done!

Excellent work! My only suggestion for improvement is that cats eyes have deep lenses over them, so looking sideways on there's a large clear refractive area over the surface...but this is a minor quibble over a GREAT image!

Nice work....actually I like the refraction as it is, it helps to tell the story

Excellent work, the cat is fantastic. I think the bowl looks good how it is but was wondering if having slightly thicker glass might make it look better.
