A disturbing image/post. I do believe this is what 'Uncle' has been waiting for. Now watch 'Him' take away our freedom in the name of terrorist prevention.

General George Patton had a saying: No one dies for their country and wins. To win, you have to make the other bastard die for his country. These people WANT to die for their cause. So let's help them!

I disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. THAT is where my American patriotism is, and what it means to me.

There is a point where saying becomes doing. Your disrespect for patriotism is a vote for the terrorists. On this issue there is no middle ground, you can disagree with the direction that things are going but to understand American patriotism you would have to have respect for the american way of life and you apparently do not. It is not an issue of "more killing" it is an issue of killing as few as necessary to restore order. Yours and my freedoms have been altered by the terrorists....like it or not....the enemy is not patriotism it is terrorism...

It isnt about the country or polotics it is about the thousands of people that died, the thousands of mothers that lost children, children that lost parents, siblings that lost brothers and sisters. Even if you dont respect what America stands for politically or economically, all of those very innocent people lost their lives just because they went to work Tuesday morning. That is why I am flying my flag.

The American Patriotism you disrespect keeps you safe. Regardless of what country or nationality you are reside. American Patriotism just dumped 40 BILLION Dollers into the European Market to stabilize their faltering value. Just as in Vietnam this War we engage in is not a Standard war where only those that have Volunteered to Die or Kill are allowed to do so. These terrorists not only Kill innocent civilians they have threatened to attack us again in like form if we go after the perpetrator of these crimes against Humanity. You all sicken me with these sentiments. This is a Radio Broadcast in 1973 and it Still holds true to this very day. A Tribute To America This was forwarded to me so I thought I'd do my part and forward it on hoping that it will uplift your pride ....... TRIBUTE TO AMERICA The following, from a Canadian newspaper, is worth sharing. Its subject is "America: The Good Neighbor" Widespread but only partial news coverage was given recently to a remarkable editorial broadcast from Toronto by Gordon Sinclair, a Canadian television commentator. What follows is the full text of his trenchant remarks as printed in the Congressional Record: "This Canadian thinks it is time to speak up for the Americans as the most generous and possibly the least appreciated people on all the earth. Germany, Japan and, to a lesser extent, Britain and Italy were lifted out of the debris of war by the Americans who poured in billions of dollars and forgave other billions in debts. None of these countries is today paying even the interest on its remaining debts to the United States. When France was in danger of collapsing in 1956, it was the Americans who propped it up, and their reward was to be insulted and swindled on the streets of Paris. I was there. I saw it. When earthquakes hit distant cities, it is the United States that hurries in to help. This spring, 59 American communities were flattened by tornadoes. Nobody helped. The Marshall Plan and the Truman Policy pumped billions of dollars into discouraged countries. Now newspapers in those countries are writing about the decadent, warmongering Americans. I'd like to see just one of those countries that is gloating over the erosion of the United States dollar build its own airplane. Does any other country in the world have a plane to equal the Boeing Jumbo Jet, the Lockheed Tri-Star, or the Douglas DC10? If so, why don't they fly them? Why do all the International lines except Russia fly American Planes? Why does no other land on earth even consider putting a man or woman on the moon? You talk about Japanese technocracy, and you get radios. You talk about German technocracy, and you get automobiles. You talk about American technocracy, and you find men on the moon-not once, but several times-and safely home again. You talk about scandals, and the Americans put theirs right in the store window for everybody to look at. Even their draft-dodgers are not pursued and hounded. They are here on our streets, and most of them, unless they are breaking Canadian laws, are getting American dollars from ma and pa at home to spend here. When the railways of France, Germany and India were breaking down through age, it was the Americans who rebuilt them. When the Pennsylvania Railroad and the New York Central went broke, nobody loaned them an old caboose. Both are still broke. I can name you 5000 times when the Americans raced to the help of other people in trouble. Can you name me even one time when someone else raced to the Americans in trouble? I don't think there was outside help even during the San Francisco earthquake. Our neighbors have faced it alone, and I'm one Canadian who is damned tired of hearing them get kicked around. They will come out of this thing with their flag high. And when they do, they are entitled to thumb their nose at the lands that are gloating over their present troubles. I hope Canada is not one of those." Stand proud, America! This is one of the best editorials that I have ever read or heard regarding the United States. It is nice that one man realizes it. I only wish that the rest of the world would realize it. We are always blamed for everything, and never even get a thank you for the things we do. I would hope that each of you would send this to as many people as you can and emphasize that they should send it to as many of their friends until this letter is sent to every person on the web. I am just a single American who has read this, but I SURE HOPE THAT A LOT MORE READ IT SOON. Be proud to be an American!

You reap what you sow... It's gonna be a grim harvest this fall... No amount of bombs or deaths are gonna improve the state of the world I don't really see the point in patriotism whether you're american or not but it's not really the issue, neither is revenge, the issue should be to find a way to prevent incidents like this and that way is not by killing more innocent people and seriously folks, being an Afghan does not make you GUILTY any more than being an amercian or european or martian or whatever

Norok hits the nail on the head! As for the rest of you, You think waiting because of tighter security checks is taking away your freedom? Ahab was obsessed - that's a moronic analogy, America is going to hunt down criminals in order to prevent repeat murders of innocent people. America wasn't talking of military action until it's citizens were murdered! I am proud to have American friends and Have the USA as my country's southern neighbor. I am confident the USA will not exterminate the people of Afghanistan - but destroy this terrorist threat to civilians all over this planet. And StyleworX.... while your praying for peace, Bin Laden may decide to destroy a building in your country and kill 5000+ of your citizens - Action is warranted.

Oedipus, this was a joke, right? You said, "I think I'll post the stupidest, most inflammatory thing I can think of and see how many nut cases there are out there who will agree with it." Congratulations, you did find a few. But fortunately, reason prevailed anyway.
