Congratulation for finding, and taking a picture of this strong castle. The entrance looks quite exceptional. What a sight. Bravo ! Wish I where the mighty ruler, who lived and loved in that old medival fortress. Fazit: Rothenburg ist eine Reise wert...

Again an excellent picture. Die Mauern wirken meterdick. Erinnert mich ein bihen an ein etwa 120 Jahre alt gewesenes Festungsgebde in meiner Stadt (Rastatt), welches gesprengt werden sollte um Platz f einen en Neubau zu machen. Man installierte 150 kg Sprengstoff im Keller, das Fernsehen war da, doch man unterschzte die dicken Mauern, denn alles was nach der Sprengung zu sehen war waren ein kleines aufsteigendes Rauchwklein. Was danach folgte waren wochenlange mselige Abrissarbeiten mit der Abrissbirne. :)

Amazing. It never ceases to amaze me that these buildings still stand. Nothing here is that old. I would truly LOVE to see it...to touch something that must hold so many memories of so many lives. Extraordinary. I hope you have more photos like this!
