Description

Viruses are predators. They don't move, they don't eat; they don't even breath. But there's a thing they keep doing for every second of their existence: Hunting for their prey: humans. But we've got our defenses: the immune system. That big cell is a macrophage, one of the soldier of the immune system. It is phagocytating the virus: i.e. it is literally eating it. And then it will continue to follow its objective: To search and destroy. This is my first attempt at doing a scientific image; well, it is not absolutely realistic (viruses can only be seen by electronic microscopy, and the proportions are a little wrong) but I tried to recreate the macrophage (nucleus, cell movement, etc.) and the virus (proportions, nucleocapsid, etc.). The virus is from the family of the Herpesviridae. Hope you enjoy it... Comments and/or critics are welcome! Technicals: This is pure P5 Firefly Engine; there is only a little postwork blur in PSP8. Bye! Da Mc P.S. For a little I thought if this should be posted in the 'Realism' or in the 'Surreal' gallery... ;)

I think it is a good start. I like the colors and the imagination to look at the inner space instead of the outer space. Great job.

This is great, captured a sense of movement, like a great white shark closing on its prey.
