What I love about my work is that other than adding wings there are very few digital effects. Most of my "fairies" are on site, in nature. They aren't added in in photoshop, or have their size changed. I used to love going out with children in nature, and creating a mood of awe and wonder to put them into "the fairies realm."BIOMom of four, social activist, using my images to create a love of and respect for nature. Without a love of nature, and therefore proper treatment of nature, we are all a goner. I want children to maintain their sense of awe, and belief in nature spirits and fairies - who of course, are real.

Hey, thanks for all the great feedback. This photo always generates a response - until last night that is, when I took it to a local photo club to be judged by a formal judge. Her response was limited to "you should have taken it a different time of day when there was more contrast." Duh. Tell that to the cow - please return to this spot, and this pose, at 4:30 P.M. So much for professional response!
