I think you're getting some banding or seams on the planet texture (been there)which happens a lot with big objects, and perhaps tilt the ship towards or away from the viewer, to bring out the detail. Keep 'em coming.

You might try giving the planet an axial tilt of 15 - 25 degrees to reduce the most obvious banding at the terminator. All in all, a nice image, though!
