Description

A shot in the late afternoon from Smith's Tropical Paradise where enjoyed a luau - complete with roasted pig from a pit, which is called imu. At sunset the young men blow on conch shells - it's very beautiful. If you look in the upper right hand corner of the photo you can make out the face of the "Sleeping Giant". Aloha!

Yes, sharky, I did try all of the Hawaiian food - including poi. The poi was a bit bland, but they recommended using it as a dip for the salty roast pork. Everything was delicious! The canoe was just for show, so we didn't get to ride on it. We did take the boat upriver to the Fern Grotto, but my husband had the camera then so I didn't take any pictures.
