Description

This image reflects what I was reading yesterday on many images I viewed . This artist was attacking some really awesome artists like Martin (Marforno) and Chris (Chrislen) and many more . I was just blown away at what he was saying about their work . Now I admit that I went to his gallery and he does do pretty cool work .But he is pissed about not getting as many comments as he think he deserves . I know that we are here to help each other grow .But like my buddy Steven svdl .When he sees something wrong in an image he tells you in a nice way to help you grow as an artists and how to fix it .He has helped me alot with keeping an eye for things that was out of sorts .Others also helped but they did it in a manner that was just that they were trying to help better myself in my art . I know that my art isnt the best but I have fun at what I do and every so ofter I get lucky LOL .But you never see one of the true masters here like Mooow Moshan, who is one of the most talanted all around artists I know (He is my Idol:)Going around slamming people works . So Oliver if you happen across my image . I could lower myself and put a finger back at you .But you know .That isnt what this community is about . You can be a constructive part of this community in a nice way or GET THE HELL OUT!!!! Because whiney assholes are a dime a dozen Just my thoughts on the subject ;) Thanks for viewing and comments are always welcome . Thank you for your art and your friendships Love and Blessings Me ;)

Wow! I may be a bit long winded here, but I'll try to keep it short. Like others, I post from time to time on other websites. One of the places has a newsletter that goes out (I had no idea) and they list 2 or 3 poser images of the week. I posted and they chose my image as one for that week. Later, I was cruising the galleries and was trying to make some comments. I came across an image that had a weird title and decided to look out of curiosity. It was a really sloppy nude and the person who made it was ranting about how pissed he was about the images of the week. But the way he worded, it sounded like a contest somewhere so I didn't understand. I commented that perhaps he should take the anger energy and try to do something more worthwhile with it. It pissed him off. He IM'd me saying that if I saw how many comments that the image got at R'osity, I would be amazed. He insinuated that nothing but nudes were popular and only nudes hit the top 20. I pointed out that there were hardly ANY nudes in the top 20 that week and that any that had nudity were very well done and tasteful. He got angrier and started a personal attack on me saying that I was angry because he put my image down and that my gallery was filled with the type of images that made him angry. I didn't even know he was referring to my image in his original post. (ironic) It was because I used a white background and it had a girl in it. These were mostly promos and images that I had posted to just say Hi. Nevermind that the character texture was done by me...I guess that doesn't count. So it goes to show you that you don't even have to be popular to have this happen. It's a shame that people's ego's get in the way. I am sorry for the ugliness here. Unfortunately, one leaves and another one comes along. I personally try to comment on images that don't always have alot of comments just to be encouraging. You've a good heart, hon, as well as most of us here. Great image and message. Peace, meli

Oh Bobby, this is such a raw spot with me right now, and to your suggestion on what this person should do, I say DITTO! Not only did I see some of these comments you've mentioned, but there were two others in this community who were doing the same. One was an incredibly vicious attack. I believe that in all cases jealousy plays the biggest part, but instead of these boneheads making the effort to support other artists and make their presence known in a positive way, they choose to assault other artists with their mindless, careless and hurtful remarks. Besides, how anyone could possibly say what is good art or bad is beyond me since art, IMHO, is non definitive. I thank my lucky stars that a number of people such as yourself, always encourage, and I've also seen people grow as artists as a result. Bless you and the others who make up the beautiful population of this community. And awesome artwork! ;) WLYB? Yep, I do...more!

Do you know what worries me most about all this - someone like this coming across Mikayla's work seeing all the comments and not taking in the age or the newness of her using poser. This would crush her as it would many people learning and trying to get better. Even if his points had been valid his attack on other commenters wasn't. People create and view art for different reasons and should be entitled to their point of view. they should not be condemed for liking an image and saying so. A very beautiful image :o) thank you and boy am i honoured to have my name up there beside Marforno's :o) Chris

Well first off let me say this is a beautiful image, I really love the vivid reds here. I am not an art critic and would never even think of myself as an artist, I do this for fun and as a way to while away the hours. 95% of the top 20 images belong there, others may not. These whiney folks are extremely immature in my opinion. Really what does worry me is someone attacking a beginner like Mikayla or anyone that is just starting, positive reinforcement and encouragment to all is the best way to go about things. You go dude I am behind ya on this!

Bobby, I understand what you mean. A nasty comment was posted on one of mine, and no, she wasn't nude. A nice moderator erased the comment. If I had my feelings hurt over lack of comments or votes, I'd be in a nasty mood all the time...lol. I post because I enjoy artwork, Poser, Bryce, Photoshop or hand drawn/painted. If I could afford some of the other programs I'd be working with them too. I started drawing pictures as soon as my hand would hold a pencil. I've worked with water color and a few oil paintings. I even did a few sculpts with clay. To me art is done in many mediums and many styles. Attacking someone just because you don't get as many comments or votes as other is unreasonable. But jealousy doesn't reason.

I've not seen the bad comments..I'm sure if I had..I'd be upset. Not sure if I've got thick enough skin to take a beating about my art. I never even got much in the way of constructive criticism, which I'm afraid would scare me too..only because I just may be a big baby. LOL The pose and expression here in this image is just lovely..so if the way the shadows and soft golden light hit her. Gorgeous.

I missed this image when you posted it and partly because when I was in the gallery I saw the negative and hurtful comments and I just left. I was so disheartened. Helping each other is a good thing, but in a way that is with kindness and compassion. I love help with things I do wrong and welcome it, but I sure dont want to be trashed because I am really trying. I also dont make alot of suggestions on how to fix things because I truly dont feel qualified to do it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, when I look at an image, it isnt with a technical eye but with how it touches my heart. Hugest hugs to you!!!!!!

Hi Bobby, i'm sorry about that! Wonderful Image i love it! The expressions are well done, now the difficulty in these, i sometimes spend hours on that, to make them look real :D She looks a bit sad, and this comes out wonderful! I have a good start here, because of you, i try to type some critik on images i see, but i must say, that i often afraid to put some critik on other images. if i don't like the Image i didn't post any comment..so i handle this. I had to come and view this image due to your reference to it in your last image. I read some of the comments Olivier made, and they weren't meant to be constructive. They were meant to be exactly what they were, cruel and derogatory. And what really upset me was the artists they were directed at...some of the very best in this or any other community! This shows me that the guy is a spoiled, jealous petty little creaton who doesn't deserve one ounce of credence. I for one create art for the pure pleasure it gives me, and for the release it gives my emotions. I view art for the same reason. I guess I've always been of the school "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all". I admit that there are times when I see something in an image that can be improved in some small way, and in that case, I just IM the artist and just nicely suggest what they might do to correct a small flaw. I never degrade, and I would never dare to suggest that I were better than they in any way, shape or form. Rendo is like a big family...and like any family, we, too have our Black Sheep....I'd have to say Olivier would qualify for that title :-) Anyway, you keep on keeping on, and don't let petty little miscrants like him spoil your fun..... {{Hugs}}

Very well said, Bobby, and I couldn't agree more. We are all learning and striving to do better and what makes this community so wonderful are the many levels of artists all interacting and sharing with one another. We can't let anyone, because of their own personal agenda, spoil the joy of creating. You really captured great emotion in the above image. Kudos to you on your artwork as well as your courage to speak your mind. :o) CC

I totally agree with you! One thing I learned is to be quiet if you don't have to say something nice and tried to look at the positive and beautiful things..maybe because I had a lot of very bad expieriences in my life .. I can't understand what satisfaction someone has to always criticize others. I have a lot of fun doing my images and that's what it is all about isn't it...Of course I like constructive critique, and I know I'm still a beginner and have to learn a lot but some things I really don't want to hear.. I have a lot of other problems in my life... You have done a beautiful image once again!
