Description

Kilmartin, Scotland Walking around Kilmartin you get onto a wide field where you can visit some burial cairns and standing stones. Here you see a stone circle with a grave in the center. It was difficult to get a shot in the rain because of the many visitors strolling around with their umbrellas. It really didn't look impressive because it was small and I missed the atmosphere I expected. So I try to get a little atmosphere by using b/w. Wish you all a wonderful weekend and thanks for all the time you spend! ;o)))

I think the black and white version works, Rita. Your efforts are appreciated by the viewers. It may be a small 'stone circle' in scale, but the stones are not silent. They place has a certain mood, even if I have not experienced it at first hand. The stones have stories to tell. I am sure that they would astonish and delight us all, if they could speak. Regards, John.

a circle of stone reminds me of the gospel song "may the circle be unbroken". I think you captured the atmosphere and serenity-V

Oh! How interestin to see these circles, some were for rituals, a long histiry of practices that had some dark things in them, it hs impact in B&W and has a feelin of spirits in it. Eccellent *V Lina
